Meet Sammy

Sammy is a dedicated farmer in the Meru region of Kenya, located northeast of Nairobi near the slopes of Mount Kenya. His farm is a model of sustainable agriculture, combining traditional Kenyan farming methods with modern techniques.

During our visit, we learned about the challenges and rewards of farming in this region. Sammy's knowledge of local crops, soil management, and water conservation was truly inspiring. He grows a variety of crops including:

• Tea - one of Kenya's major exports
• Maize and beans - staple foods
• Bananas and other fruits
• Vegetables for local markets

Sammy's commitment to sustainable farming practices helps preserve the land for future generations while providing for his family and community.
